Cultural Experiences

As future leaders, we continually strive to build stronger ties with our communities and the individuals within them. It is through this understanding that we develop broader worldviews that will shape and support our lives. We celebrate our history through traditions that honor the past while serving the future.

NCL, Inc. creates an environment that nurtures positive identification with surroundings and self.  This is established by recognizing and appreciating the value of differences in each other and in the world. Exposure to culturally diverse peoples and events broadens perspective, promotes awareness, and teaches cultural sensitivity.

Cultural values and traditions help to mold NCL, Inc. participants into active contributors within their communities. Some cultural activities and traditions the Outer Banks Chapter participate in include:

Art exhibitions

Ballet & dance performances

Choral performances

Cultural centers

Father / Daughter event

Garden & home tours

Local cultural festivals

Mother / Daughter Tea

Museums

Musical & theater productions
